Scrambling and Mountaineering Progression Courses

Learn the Scrambling and Mountaineering skills to be safe and confident in the mountains

Our Scrambling and Mountaineering Progression Courses are designed to look at how you would use the rope over a variety of terrains in the Mountains.

It maybe just for short sections of more technical climbing on a longer route or for more sustained and exposed ground. You may be looking to tackle routes like Tower Ridge, Observatory Ridge and the Cuillin Ridge on your own. If so this course would be a great way to cover the skills required.

This course can also be used as an alpine preparation style course if you are taking your first trip to the Alps or would just like a refresher.

Run at a maximum ratio of 1:2 this means you can spend more time on the technical scrambling and mountaineering ground and get some individualised feedback and input from your guide or instructor.
