Learn the skills and tactics to tackle Multi-pitch Rock Climbs
Scotland has so many rock climbing venues on a such a wide variety or rock but it also has so many classic routes and venues that have multi-pitch crags. Our Multi-pitch rock climbing courses are for those people who are aiming to start climbing bigger and longer routes. You may already be someone who leads on single-pitch crags who would like to transition into leading multi-pitch routes or you may even be looking to start leading but have a shortage of single pitch crags accessible to you.
Some of the course content covered would be building multi-pitch belays with the consideration of switching leads, Multi-pitch change overs, protecting the belay, multi-pitch abseil retreats and even some simple rescue tools to help get you out of some sticky situations.
The length of the course depends on you and your current levels but we can do single or multi day courses with prices starting at £300 per day and a maximum of 2 people per instructor/guide.
Some of the topics covered during a Multi-pitch course mirror the Learn to Lead Course but we can build on those skills further if required:
